HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY MR ONG IRFAN
I wish I could've been at the party as well, even tho it was a surprise one
But many wishes to you and Lyn, Ong Schlong :D
---------------------
It's been confirmed, 20th April - "it's a wrap!"
I can't wait to lead a normal life again, but there's a lot of things I'll miss. Preparing props, rushing to locations, talking and working with the crew, watching the cast get made up, relaxing with the interns, the rush of scene change, the last min orders by ADs, angsty directors, watching the cast get into character, getting last min orders to be extras (jannah's gonna be on tv!), and looking forward to meal times (and we can't do this without jannah :D)!
Everyone looks forward to meal times. at 12 am, when talents are feeling sleepy, they look for Jannah because she's the answer to their need to rejuvenate. kheng hua looks for jannah for her daily kopi-o kosong, michelle chong looks for jannah for her teh-o.
Honestly girl, no one can stay alive without you on the set. Props are props, anyone can do it (and it's not all that fun either, trust me). But no one can handle the food like jannah, the effort and love she puts into it.. cos it is not easy pleasing everyone. but jenny always knows what we peoples likes :)
Hmm the train this morning was jam-packed as hell. But I think I like the idea of being squashed. It means I don't have to hold the railing. If the train jerks, I just lean on someone so it's kind of cosy.
So today I'm doing transcribing! Really excited!
So many plans for post 20th April.
I've bought OC season 1 and 2, and coming up 3 so I can have my own drama marathon.
gonna clean up my room,
start watching more movies,
walk around Singapore,
pay attention to Mirzan,
start making t-shirts for the fun of it cos I don't want to buy anymore,
go ben & jerry's with my lovers,
do a series of masak-masak show (don't forget jan!)
purchase more dvds
and have the time of my life!
then I'll find work again. Hope you guys are doing well too!

I Love it

I love coming to Holland Village every morning. I enjoy the realxing bus ride there. I love the strong breeze that greets us when we get off the bus. I love getting our morning coffee at Burger King or Starbucks. I love the friendly people we meet (the Starbucks girl is nice. The first time we met her she was already yapping away). I love walking around at lunch time looking for places to eat, people-watching and car-watching (some pretty nice cars go by everyday).
One main thing to add to the whole experience is reminiscence. My mak and bapak angkat (godparents. im not sure if it's the right term) used to live there and as a kid, I would always live with them during the holidays. My datuk Ismail (grandfather) lived in the same block as them. So I've spent half my childhood there since I was a year old. The sad thing is a lot of the HDBs have been upgraded and stuff so it looks a tad different. But last week as I walked through the blocks an avalanche of memories just washed over me.
It was sad, yet I was happy to be back there. To smell the air, to appreciate the sights. It felt like I was a 5 year old again getting ready to go to the playground with mak. She's a little old now, about 60. And living by herself, while still working, at Lavender. A lot of things happened in between that might've made her sad but she always refuses to show. She used to have 3 sons but now she has 1. She used to have a husband but now she has none. She was there to hold me in her arms when my mum passed.
20 years since I first met her as a baby she's always looked the same to me. Beautiful smile and a glimmer in her eyes when she does. And I've always felt comforted by that. I told myself one day I'm going to take care of her. When I'm successful, I'll make sure she, my father and stepmum have a stable place to live in where they won't have to work anymore. They deserve a rest.
I'll take her for a walk around the neighbourhood one day. And we'll just sit there together in the breeze, stare at our surroundings and know we had such amazing times together. Probably the best years together. At our house in Holland Road. Back in the 90s. When everyone else was still alive.

Love partner + friends = a healthy Balance
Here's a tip for anyone with relationships and even a memo for me! Just in case I forget.
love partner + friends = a healthy relationship
I have always believed in this (or more like, just realised this after my break-up), and so have some people I know. The one I had with H was considered an unhealthy one. He got jealous when I talked to my guy friends and slowly I realised I got to see/spend less time with my other friends. And they did come back with scary mesages like "why did you ditch us?"
But after talking to Mr V, I realise being loyal to your significant other is important. But so is maintaining your relationship with your friends. I will always need my friends until the day I die. Spending a romantic time with the man you love is completely different from spending time with your girlfriends, having a fun time gossiping and watching chick flicks. So that means you should let your man spend time with his boyfriends and enjoy their boytime as well.
That's a plus plus for your happiness.

Friends are Forever?
I used to think friends forever was the most pretentious quote I ever heard.
I mean, who can keep a friend relationship forever right? We try, but most of the time we're unsuccessful. Graduation Day, we weep, we hug, 5 years later, we're not talking to 75% of them already.
So I thought, friends forever? So dumb. Now, 3 years after graduation, the only person I'm talking to is Ruz. We always stuck together then. I'm glad we're still talking now. She's the kind of person I don't want to lose (I'm making her a special customised birthday gift hehehehe).
Then I saw the light. Maybe they don't mean having just one (friend) relationship forever. But that throughout your life, you'd find that you constantly need your friends with you, no matter who or when. For support, for company, for happiness, for sharing experiences, and for love. Sometimes they say, if you have at least one person who loves you, you can succeed.
I agree whole-heartedly. Everyone's been down before. If I'm down because I had problems with my friends, I'd always feel like going home. Because I know I can talk to one person - Mirzan. He listens to my problems and responds. I'm shy to talk abt my problems to the other ppl in my family. But Mirzan responds appropriately. He'd make me feel secure because I know he loves me. Once I said, I'm scared because I think my friend hates me. He turned my head to face him and said "i shoot your friend."
Morrie said - "The most important thing in life is to learn how to give out love, and let it come in."
What are we without the love of our family and friends? Friendship is forever.

Proof of the Pudding!
I decided to put up some pictures of that memorable night.
Not only was The Click Five at the Arts House for us to ogle, they also came for the After Party which was a real treat. Yum. They were really far away, and I had to zoom, plus it was night time. So the pictures aren’t that clear.
Can't see?
Still can't see?
Joe, Kyle and Ethan (in white).
Nyahnyahnyah. If you notice, there’s this twinkle in kyle’s eye which was probably from my flash so it caught his attention and he turned. I quickly ducked down and just wished I had done it at a better timing.

A happy start for a happy Natasha
(note: the person above is not Natasha)
Finally it has arrived. Blog NUMBER FOUR!!!!
Because I am bad at remembering usernames and passwords. But this is the record for me. The setup of two blogs within a week. And Jannah was saying in her high-shrilled voice, "don't forget your password this time!" I said, "I swear I won't!" And I didn't. But what I forgot was my username instead. Goddammnit!
(beware: long story ahead!)
So we had fun yesterday! And I shall tell you why soon. Like now. Jangjang called the day before.
"Natz, guess who I'm sitting next to...?"
"Er... Timothy Goh...?"
"One of the Click Five guys... hehehe..."
I screamed...!!! She asked if I wanted to come help the next day and off we went! It was fun seeing people of all sorts, personalities and colour. Their works were the greatest. But we knew what everyone was waiting for. That moment. Suddenly Jannah came running from behind the corner.
"They're coming they're coming! Click 5 is coming up the stairs now!"
I froze. Less than 10 seconds later, Kyle (lead singer) strode by, tall and lanky, with guitar case in hand and a smile followed by the rest of the band. I would melt if I wanted to but Jannah and I know we had a mission to keep our cool! Later, we desperately wanted to take a picture (actually it was me; jan already took one with kyle the day before).
When one of the ladies (who was with Click 5) walked by, we asked if it was possible to take a picture with them. She immediately agreed and let us in. When Lester saw us going in, he quickly ran and said to the lady, "I'm with them!" Finally.. we were in the lounge room behind closed doors, alone with Click 5... and a random nice photographer.
I guess it never dawned on us the whole time we were star-struck. But nothing felt as real as that moment. We were not seeing them on pictures in magazines, or on a cd case. We were in a room with them. This silence was deafening. Some were practicing their instruments, some were packing, and the three of us were murmuring among ourselves. When the photographer knew it was odd enough for us, he gestured us toward the guys and we kindly asked for a photo with the band. They smiled and agreed.
Their performance was mind-blowing. Possibly because we were so star-struck. But it wasn't just us who went crazy.
