Serene Saturday

Sleeping in during the morning. Playing with the baby when awake. Taking a bath and get ready to meet a loved one. Can't help but smile. Don't forget the player that plays the soundtrack to your life and keeps your lonesome self company on the way.

Met. Heading down to Bugis, take a walk around Bugis Junction. Walk down to Arab Street. Oh bazaar bazaar! Amazing how food brings people together. Taking in the smells, the sights, the celebration of people being there with the same purpose.

FOOD, FOOD GALORE!

Nasi padang, to peanut pancakes, to kuih-muihs, beef and chicken kebabs, ramly burgers, hotdogs, fishballs, vadai, kurma, nasi briyani, air katira, air bandung, and MORE.

I used to hate crowds like these when younger. But now I kind of like it. Watching people moving, people queueing, people craning their necks to see whats on display, vendors moving at the speed of light to serve customers quick, children running around. To me it means, HARI RAYA IS COMING!!! And I'm not in it for the money even. It just seems like a nice festivity bringing people together.

So we bought kebabs, some kuihs, peanut pancakes, a bottle of Hershey kisses, air katira and water bottles, found a quiet, serene place to sit. Laid out the food nice and neatly and waited for azan.
